Pre-Booking Questions
No there isn’t a minimum number of nights required although we highly recommend booking at least two nights to get the best experience!
We accept PayPal, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, and cash. Sorry checks and money orders are not accepted.
Bishop International Airport (FNT) and MBS International Airport (MBS) are both located approximately one hour away from our bed and breakfast. Detroit Metropolitan Airport (DTW) is located two hours away and may offer cheaper and more flight options. All three airports offer multiple car rental agencies on-site for your convenience.
Policy Questions
Check-in time is from 4PM – 7PM unless special arrangements are made in advance. Early check-ins is available for a small additional charge depending on room availability.
Check-out time is 11AM. Late check-outs are available for a small additional charge depending on room availability.
Due to the exclusive nature of our accommodations, cancellations affect our business significantly. Therefore, we adhere to a strict cancellation policy, regardless of the reason. Cancellations given at least 14 days in advance of scheduled arrival date will be subject to a $30 cancellation fee. For no-shows or cancellations given less than 14 days in advance of scheduled arrival date will be subject to a 100% cancellation fee unless we are successful in rebooking your reserved dates. If we are successful in rebooking your reserved dates we will provide a refund subject to a $50 cancellation fee.
There are no refunds for early departures. Date changes are considered cancellations and as such our cancellation policies will apply. We recommend that you consider purchasing trip insurance from a third party. You are not obligated to purchase this coverage but you may wish to do so in case of unforeseen circumstances which may affect your travel plans. Insurance policies are neither administered nor guaranteed by Himelhoch Bed & Breakfast.
Although the innkeepers love animals, Himelhoch Bed & Breakfast unfortunately does not allow guest pets on the premises. We will be happy to assist you in finding an appropriate “Bed & Bone” nearby for your four-legged traveling companion. Please note that the innkeepers do have a small cat and dog but they are kept in the innkeepers’ private living quarters at the main bed & breakfast building and out of all common guest areas.
Smoking is permitted only in designated outdoor areas. Smoking is not permitted inside anywhere in our bed and breakfast; including common areas, guest rooms, porches, and balconies. This policy is strictly enforced and a $200 fee will be charged. Any damages caused by cigarette, cigar, pipe or other device will be charged at the full value of the damaged item.
Alcohol consumption in moderation is permitted, however for the privacy and enjoyment of other registered guests, excessive consumption and abusive behavior will not be tolerated and will result in you being asked to leave with no refund.
Amenities Questions
All of our guest rooms in all buildings are on the second floor accessible from a staircase. Unfortunately our rooms are not handicap accessible.
All of our rooms feature private en-suite bathrooms so you will not have to share your bathroom with any other guests.
Note: The Maple Room in the Guest House does not have an en-suite bathroom. The Maple room’s private bathroom with keyed lock access is located down a few steps from the shared hallway.
Yes, we have complimentary parking available in our driveway for our guests.
Yes all rooms have window air conditioning units so you can set your desired room temperature.
Yes, guests can access the internet at blazing fast speeds with our wireless Charter Spectrum cable internet accessible from every guest room.
No unless you prefer your own, each guest room is provided with plush bath robes, hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner, soap, makeup remover wipes, and a clothing iron upon request.
Bed & Breakfast Questions
The innkeepers’ living quarters are located two floors below the guest rooms on the garden level of the main bed and breakfast building. This separation provides privacy for guests while also keeping the innkeepers nearby when assistance is requested.
Unfortunately we do not provide any meals other than breakfast. For your convenience, we do have menus and recommendations available for local restaurants.
